D. Zahi HawassAncient world served as the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, and previously served as director of the effects of Giza, and therefore the title of "guardian of the pharaohs." His efforts is evident in the area of preserve in the protection of monuments, restoration and conservation of cultural heritage of Egypt and the restoration of what came out of them illegally.
Born in Damietta, in the May 28, 1947
Archaeological discoveries:Has done a lot of discoveries Alothreypalhamp, including:- The Tombs of the workers who built the pyramids.
- Valley of the Golden Mummies.
- Governor of Bahariya Oasis cemetery and his family in the age-Sawi (family 26).
His works include:Has authored several books in Arabic and English, and books were translated into many languages, including:- Abu Simbel temples ... the rising sun.
- Our Lady of the ancient world.
- Miracle of the Great Pyramid.
- Valley of the Golden Mummies.
- Secrets of the sand.
In addition to numerous articles and publications in many newspapers and journals
Teaching:Zahi Hawass, has taught at many universities, and lectured at many universities in the world.Universities taught by:- University of Los Angeles.
- American University in Cairo.
Awards:- Medal of Science and Arts of the first layer.
- Award for Pride in Egypt Astqta Foreign Correspondents Association in Egypt in 1998.
- Golden Shield Award from the American Academy of achievements in 2000.
- Prize of the Egyptian Premier World Association of Egyptian scientists in the United States of America.
- Honored by the province of Damietta, Mansoura University.
- Was chosen by Time magazine in the list of 100 most influential people in the world.
- Was awarded the "Emmy" Award is the highest in the world granted by the Academy of Television Arts and Media in the United States of America for the best television movies. D received. Hawass this award for his participation in a film about Tut Tutankhamun and the Valley of the Kings, who produced Channel 'CD. me. S' CBS 2005
